Honsador Brings “Slurp & Swing” to the 2026 HWCIA Golf Tournament

On July 31, Honsador participated as a Gold Sponsor in the Hawaii Wall & Ceiling Industry Association’s Annual Golf Tournament at The Pearl at Kalauao.

Honsador hosted the “Slurp & Swing” Oyster Bar, where attendees enjoyed freshly shucked Goose Point oysters from Washington State. The memorable experience gave our team an opportunity to connect with customers, partners, and fellow building industry professionals.

The tournament advances HWCIA’s efforts to strengthen industry standards, education, communication, and fellowship among its members while recognizing outstanding students.

Honsador Supports Habitat for Humanity Leeward Oahu at 7th Annual Golf Tournament

On Friday, July 17, 2026, Honsador proudly participated in the Habitat for Humanity Leeward Oahu 7th Annual Golf Tournament at Leilehua Golf Course.

As a company dedicated to helping build homes across Hawaii, we’re proud to partner with organizations that expand access to affordable homeownership. Habitat for Humanity Leeward Oahu brings people together to construct and repair affordable homes, helping local families create a safe and stable foundation for the future.

The tournament brought together customers, industry partners, and community leaders in support of a cause that strengthens our local communities. Events like these reinforce the relationships that help our industry thrive while making a meaningful difference for families across the Leeward Coast.

Honsador Maui Welcomes BIA Hawaii for Pau Hana Networking Event

On June 18, 2026, Honsador’s Maui branch welcomed members of the Building Industry Association of Hawaii (BIA Hawaii) for an evening of networking, conversation, and industry connection.

The pau hana brought together contractors, suppliers, industry partners, and construction professionals from across Maui, providing an opportunity to strengthen relationships and share ideas with others who help build and support Hawaii’s construction industry.

As a long-standing supporter of the local construction community, Honsador values opportunities to connect with industry professionals and organizations like BIA Hawaii that help bring people together through education, advocacy, and networking.

Attendees enjoyed food, refreshments, and a YETI cooler giveaway courtesy of Milgard Windows and Doors while spending time with fellow professionals in a relaxed setting.

Honsador Proud to Support Alpha Electric Supply Golf Tournament on Maui

On Saturday, June 13, 2026, Honsador team members proudly supported the Alpha Electric Supply (AES) Golf Tournament at The Dunes at Maui Lani Golf Course on Maui.

The tournament brought together team members from Honsador and Alpha Electric Supply for a day focused on teamwork, partnership, and connection. Honsador branch managers from across the state joined the event, helping support tournament activities and strengthening relationships with our AES ohana.

Events like these highlight the strong partnership between Honsador and Alpha Electric Supply and the great things that can be accomplished when we work together.

Celebrating Another Milestone in Lahaina’s Recovery

On Thursday, May 28, 2026, members of the Honsador team had the privilege of attending the home dedication ceremony for the Asuncion ‘Ohana in Lahaina.

This special project was made possible through the collaborative efforts of Ho‘ōla iā Mauiakama Disaster Long-Term Recovery Group (LTRG), Mennonite Disaster Services, Cajudoy Construction, and the many partners, donors, and volunteers committed to helping Lahaina families rebuild and recover.

We are proud to support organizations and contractors who are making a meaningful difference in our community. Many of the building materials for these projects are supplied through Honsador, and we are honored to play a role in helping families return home.

One of the most rewarding parts of attending these ceremonies is witnessing the gratitude and joy of the families receiving the keys to their new homes. Their resilience, combined with the generosity of organizations and volunteers from near and far, serves as a powerful reminder of what can be accomplished when communities come together.

As Honsador continues serving Hawaii, we remain committed to supporting the rebuilding of Lahaina and will continue to stand alongside the organizations, contractors, volunteers, and families working toward recovery.

HomeAid Hawaiʻi’s 10th Anniversary Gala

Honsador Lumber was honored to support HomeAid Hawaiʻi’s 10th Anniversary Gala, Kauhale Kaiāloha, on Thursday 4/2 at Bishop Museum, alongside many others committed to strengthening our community.

We had the opportunity to hear firsthand stories from individuals whose lives have been transformed through HomeAid’s work, from overcoming homelessness and addiction to finding employment, support, and a renewed sense of community.

A community update from Nanakuli and surrounding areas impacted by the recent Kona Low flooding.

Pauahi Leoiki, a member of the Nanakuli Neighborhood Security Watch and Nanaikapono Protestant Church, shares how the community has been affected, where support is being coordinated, and how others can help.

The Honsador Lumber Jacks Take the Field in Style

On March 10, 2026, Honsador Lumber had the honor of joining the players, coaches, and families of the Hawai‘i Amateur Athletic Club Kapolei team at Ho‘ae‘ae Community Park for a special afternoon.

The team officially took the field as the Honsador Lumber Jacks, debuting their new uniforms during practice. Each player also received a Honsador backpack filled with school supplies to support their success both on the field and in the classroom.

During the event, the team and families surprised us with a heartfelt gesture. A parent representative presented Honsador with a $4,500 check representing the value of the uniforms and supplies donated, along with a set of team uniforms signed by every player.

We are honored to support local youth programs and grateful to be part of this team’s journey.

Honsador Lumber was proud to serve as a Pōmaikaʻi Presenting Sponsor at Hawaii Community Lending’s annual Hui Waiwai, an event that brings together partners and community leaders to celebrate progress and expand pathways to homeownership across Hawai‘i.

We were honored to recognize the many accomplishments Hawaii Community Lending achieved over the past year. In 2025, HCL provided grants and loans to 216 families totaling $10.3 million, helping 87 local and Native Hawaiian families successfully build, purchase, or save their homes from foreclosure.

Honsador Lumber was proud to support HCL during a milestone year that marked the highest loan production in the organization’s 23-year history. This momentum also helped lay the groundwork for the successful launch of HCL’s direct mortgage programs, which are filling a critical gap created by significant federal reductions in funding and staffing for the USDA 502 Direct Mortgage Program.

The evening also included special recognition of long-time Honsador customer E. Bueno Construction, led by Elmer Bueno. Elmer and his wife accepted the Outstanding Builder of 2025 award in recognition of his tireless dedication and long-standing commitment to addressing housing challenges for Hawai‘i’s local and Native Hawaiian communities. A native of Kaua‘i, Elmer provides building and general contracting services on the islands of O‘ahu and Kaua‘i and has been a trusted partner in advancing attainable housing solutions.

Honsador Supports Kapolei’s Keiki Through Hawaii Amateur Athletic Club Sponsorship

Honsador Lumber is proud to be the official 2026 sponsor of the Hawaii Amateur Athletic Club, a 501(c)(3) non-profit youth baseball organization serving the Kapolei community.

Through this partnership, Honsador will cover uniform costs for players, coaches, and team moms — helping ensure every child has the opportunity to step onto the field ready to play. Honsador Lumber Honors and Supports Women Leaders at NAWIC Hawaii Board Installation Banquet, Reinforcing Its Role as a Champion of Industry Inclusion and Growth

On September 18th, several of Honsador Lumber’s extraordinary Women Leaders proudly attended the NAWIC Hawaii Board of Directors Installation Banquet. The event brought together professionals from across the construction industry to celebrate leadership, collaboration, and the advancement of women in the field.

Honsador is proud to be guided by strong female leadership across the state. Each of our Branch General Managers, along with our Vice President of Human Resources, our Bond Supervisor, and the Manager of our Packaged Homes Division, represented Honsador at this year’s banquet. Their presence highlights the important role women play in shaping our company’s success and the future of construction in Hawaii.

Supporting women in construction has long been a priority for Honsador Lumber. Through active involvement in organizations like NAWIC Hawaii, we remain committed to creating opportunities, building connections, and strengthening representation for women across the industry.

Sleep in Heavenly Peace (SHP) Honolulu Charter community initiative

On September 13^th, Honsador Team members flew in and donated their skills and time to help build beds for kids in our community as part of the SHP Honolulu Charter community initiative.  Honsador Lumber donated lumber materials, provided freshly grilled meals and team members lent their skills along with other members of the community to build beds for kids in need.  Attached you will find more information on organization, the event, and some photos of our team in action.
